Front Bilsteins (pre 96)

Does anyone have a pair of standard front Bilsteins for a pre 96 chassis in good condition for sale?

Are front Bilsteins different pre and post 96 then?

I ask because I'm after some adjustable platforms for my 93 1400K De dion and have been looking at later shocks assuming they will fit!

Bilstein shocks seem to come up on e bay quite often.

Yes, the pre 96 chassis has a different length of damper. Plenty of the later type seem to come up for sale as people upgrade, but haven't see the earlier ones.

 

Adjustable platforms are the same though - I have the new style from Caterham (pedestrian friendly!) and they fit fine, so you could buy the later dampers, swap the platforms around and sell the dampers on.

I have some you can have from a 94 car. I would not call them 'pristine' as they were on my car for 8 years (15k miles).
