mav
CC orginally set my SV up with the lower wishbones pointing downwards towards the centre of the car. Handling was superb, ground clearance was pants.
Myles
BUT mine is fine, with 3-4 washers so please do not "knock" everyones ideas without knowing the facts.....angry smiley the standard engine-mount bolts that I have would leave dangerously-little thread in the mounts if padded out with washers... They're marginal as they are. And where was I knocking anyone else??? I referred to my bolts and issued a warning that if Dave's were anything like mine, he'd need to take care... henry21p
OK - here's the rub then - my handling is just as i like it and finally sorted. I don't really want to knacker it up - though a teensy bit more oversteer might be ok. I have 2.5 inches clearance below the sump. Then 2.5 inches between lowest point of sump and floorpan on the 21. I AM on adjustable platforms, but as I said, I really don't want to knacker the handling. Soo - after all of your long and drawn out discussions above - what's the conclusion for putting less of my sump in danger?
