I'm 6ft 1, which isn't exaclty over-tall these days, but could really do with either lowering the seats (is this possible?), or getting a lower driver's seat put in. I'm in a 97 1.6 SS. You could take the seat out and sit on the floor wink.gif There are several companies that produce the goods to mould your own. Expanding foam bags and hardeners that allow you to get the seat exactly the right shape and size. I'm sure someone will be along soon with contact names and numbers. Peter T Posted December 10, 2001 Share Posted December 10, 2001 I had the same problem 6ft2, went from standard seats, then to bench seats (gained around 2 inches,)but lack of support from lateral movements pushed me into trying Caterham's own Tillet seat. Since fitting the seats i have found the car far more comfortable to live with, quite an expensive move but well worth it! Tall blokes (and ladies) may be missing out on adequate protection from their rollbar in the case of an accidental inversion. See previous threads on this subject. Simple solution that worked for me was to move the seat forward a notch and then recline the back of the seat. It's OK , as long as you have sufficient knee space near the dash!
