Caterham 1997 Scholarship car with a 1600cc Ford X-flow engine.

Finished 5th in the 2004 Grads championship (2nd at Croix en Ternois).

The car is in excellent condition & is fully prepared to the 2005 Grads regulations.

It was raced in Grads for a full season in 2004 with just 1 race in 2005.

 

Specification:

• Full roll cage (specially made by Caged in 2004 by adapting the current RoadSports cage for the live axle chassis).

• Side impact bar fitted to driver’s side.

• Unpainted aluminium bodywork (tell it like it is!).

• Tillet GRP driver’s seat.

• Caterham 6 point harness.

• 260mm Racetech steering wheel.

• Spax adjustable dampers with adjustable platforms (fitted May 2004).

• Car was flat floored/corner weighted in June 2005.

• Buffed Yokohama A539 tyres on alloy Minators (fitted June 2005 – 1 race only).

• Uprated halfshafts & new bearings shimmed & fitted to rear axle by McMillan MotorSport (June 2004).

• Engine rebuilt by McMillan MotorSport (September 2004).

• Spare bonnet, black nose cone, black front & rear wings for road use.

• Engine block is the sought after AX casting.

• Radiator mesh protection panel fitted behind grill.

• Full weather equipment (doors, hood, tonneau).

• Road legal (will be sold with 12 months MOT, but no road tax).

• Immobiliser.

• Three owners from new. Present owner since May 2000.

• Spares package available (disc pads, brake shoes, filters, fan belt, etc).

 

Set-up & preparation advice, race support & guidance will be provided to assist the new driver on their first few race meetings.
