First Man
Probably a really dumb question - but can anyone tell me what the pull-push lever is under the dash on the driver's side of a 1.8 Supersport? It lloks like a choke but obviously isn't. Can't find anything in the Owner's Manual. Any ideas? First Man.
Graham Perry
Er not that I have ever looked under the scuttle of a supersport but it sounds like the control that turns on the water flow to the heater .

I.Mupferit
You must be very worried about this judging from the number of postings! smile.gif It certainly sounds like the heater valve control knob but can't you simply lift the bonnet and see where it goes to? Brent PS The Caterham supplied valve (a VW part) is complete c**p and doesn't shut off completely thus allowing hot water into the heater matrix at all times. I have changed mine for a proper precision ball valve which prevents all flow and means you can get a bit of cooler air circulating your feet with the fan switched on. Jam Mad
mine doesn't have a control... i assume it's simply a matter of buying one and installing it on the 'in' pipe to the heater ? brent, where did you get your 'precision ball valve' from ? j

I.Mupferit
Jam, From RS Components. You would need, however, to fabricate a crank arm and quadrant assembly so that it can be operated from the drivers seat. Fortunately for me I am in the right business to be able to get the necessary materials to do that without drama. The valve works extremely well, and with the fan switched to high, resolves the 'Caterham cooked feet syndrome' completely.........well almost completely! teeth.gif Brent
