kenny.
Just discovered the tooling for this vehicle and am looking to produce it if enough interest...it was produced 10 years ago, and I am currently changing specs to make it quite a decent replica.please Email me if interested or have any questions. Gridgway
looks a fascinating idea, but what would you use it for? Graham
WILL FLY
For the kids obviously. I'd love one for my daughter but my drive's only 20 feet long. If I lived somewhere like Longleat or Chatsworth then I'd get one for my daughter. smile.gif See willfly.net for more info. If you don't spin you ain't trying smile.gif
kenny.
Quite an amazing little thing really...it was done for home consumption by a classic car specialist many years ago (for his own kids). The chassis is skinned in ali (Arch-style) and the wings and nosecone are grp. It has double front wishbones and has miniture coil over suspension. Leather bench seats are also on the drawings plus FIA style roll bar I've taken over the moulds and jigs plus a couple of chassis, but am going to have to invest in further work to get shape more to my liking re. the nosecone. Chassis number 1 ran a 160cc petrol, but I am looking now at at a good electric motor for power. Kart brakes will be used and the windscreen is laminated.I am hoping to have a new one up and running in the new year and hope that cost won't be horrendous as all the spade work has been done. Blatman
Hope it handles better than your full size version, Kennyblush.gifsmile.gif
cskip
Blatman. At least it won't be made of plastic! Clive. Crossflow - Loud and Proud!
kenny.
Ouch!! tongue.gif......Ok Blatman nice one!.....Just for that I'll make you a special one out of plastic...with a bulbous nosecone, flakey off powder coat chassis, wide lardy arsed body, and dash made from mini or Spitfire clocks with loads of padding and covered in leatherette,.....oh and I'll put a big chunky rough cast set of ali windscreen pillars on it too...I'll also do starter kits from £9.99..but you'll need a donor toy pedal car for the bits not supplied wink.gif. Gridgway
fascinating, I'd love one. How much do you think it'll cost to make and how much effort? Graham
Blatman
Kenny, you obviously haven't seen my Vx engined Westf1eld. It has more carbon fibre than an R500, and a solid powdercoating job. In fact my 1989 vintage Westf1eld (the hillclimb/sprint car) has powdercoating that put's most new C******m's to shame. They both handle too.....that'll be decent suspension then....especially at the rear.....tongue.giftongue.giftongue.gif Oh yeah, the last company to copy C******m got sued, so watch yourselfeek.gif oh oh and and I am currently changing specs to make it quite a decent replica. Sounds familiar. Call it a pre lit Westf1eld and be done with itblush.gifblush.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif Right, I'll stop biting now.....wink.gif
CHRIS CLARK
< pre-lit Westf1eld > I always think this sounds as if someone has put a match to one of 'em before YOU can get to it. Actually, ummm.........................
PAUL MARRIOTT
I think that there is one, or at least a small 7, in a garage in Hemel Hempstead near the Magic roundabout. Not sure as my wife thought that she spotted it by that funny round about, but she wasn't sure whether it was Watford or Hemel.
AlShack
Paul You are right - it is in the Volvo(?!?!?) garage at the bottom of the A41 bypass coming down into Hemel Hempstead (opposite corner to Halford/Tempo etc). It's green with a yello stripe - well cool. If I could justify the £2000 price tag, I'd have it for my daughter (although at 13 months old, she may well have to wait a while to drive it...). Dunno what powers it - was gonna pop in in my Seven & ask a bit more, but thought I mightlook a pratt blush.gif ... Al
rynicolson
yes it is in the volvo garage and has been for at least 6 months, maybe more. isn't it a Sonic? Tricks Y57 CDS "Mutley"
