conorkaby
Let me get this straight before I place and order. My radiator fan does not come on. The temp guage works fine and when I disconnect the two leads from the sender unit mounted in the radiator and link the wires the fan does come on. Is the sender unit at fault? Myles
Yes. Either it is at fault, or it is just 'set' too high for your needs. conorkaby
Thanks Myles. Order placed. Perhaps I should have replaced it when I fitted that nice new Radtec! Btw I made a donation to NtL in recognition of you sterling efforts in securing the bulk buy.
Support Team Shaun_E Posted September 29, 2005 Support Team Share Posted September 29, 2005 Just to be absolutely clear - the item in the radiator is a fan switch and is completely separate from the temperature sender which is located normally (on a K-series) in the water rail at the back of the engine. It sounds like your fan switch needs replacing. As Myles says - £10 from Caterham. Yellow SL #
Ozzy
If you've recently changed the rad, you could have an air lock. Check the top of your rads getting hot. Oz. Still Shaking. 6 speed 1600k Supersport
