sorry this ain't a full report of the Masters at Dijon - a bit too busy at work. What a great circuit - if you ever get the chance, go. 1km straight so lots of slip-streaming, just about on the redline in 6th, hard on the brakes and into a quick right hander in 4th that opens up to a sweeping left right pair, over the crest and brake hard as the track drops steeply down to a sharp off camber left taken in 3rd, quick squirt, up to 4th, then brake and back to 3rd for the parabolique hairpin that turns into a near vertical cliff half way round (well that's what it feels like 13th places out of 19 cars but had some good dicing with a couple of other cars. Also had one amazing lap in the first race when,for once, my mistakes actually worked in my favour (braking "too late" and going "too fast" into a corner turned out to be just right <img class='"smiley"' alt='"toothy' src='"images/smilies/teeth.gif"' smiley"="" data-cke-saved-src="">) + a good tow down the straight got me within a second of the fastest lap. Just a shame I couldn't repeat it - normally I was 3-4 secs off the pace ! Other things ? Well we won't mention the guy who forgot that the conclusion of a good slip-streaming manoeuvre is to remember to pull out and go past the leading car - not to run straight into the back of it. Nor will we mention the guy who came hurtling into the pitlane for the driver change halfway through the race and completely failed to make it round the left/right kink into the pits and so wrote off two corners of the car on the pitwall in front of eveyone. regards fc
