Looking for a book on engine building

Can anyone recommend a really good book on building a performance engine, e.g. build techniques, what gunk to use where, what to check for when prepping the engine for a build, etc. ??? Xmas beckons and this sort of book would be a damn sight more welcome than some new socks wink.gif

 

Dave Walker's Engine Management book is also on my list.

You could try 'Engine Builder's Handbook' Tom Monroe. Its American but nevertheless covers most of whats required. ISBN 1-55788-245-2 Amazon sell it.

'Modern Engine Tuning' by A Graham Bell - ISBN 0 85429 978 5 Also sold by Amazon.
