Phil
What do you have to do to swop from clamshells to cycle wings please. X/FLOW 1700 DD 1990 ROAD USE ONLY..SO FAR Edited by - phil on 9 Sep 2005 12:57:
Normans_Ghost
You need the front wing brackets which bolt to the inner centre hub stud. Then, of course, the wings. You then need to remove the clamshell wings. And here is the first problem. You will be left with a line of screw holes diagonally down the side skin. However, if you're happy to fill these screw holes with painted screws thay don't look that bad. You should affix a side repeater indicator lamp to the wing but most of us don't bother. Support Team Shaun_E Posted September 9, 2005 Support Team Share Posted September 9, 2005 Have you got an 8% steering rack? If not then the cycle wings could hit the body work on full lock. Do a search for "cycle wing conversion" and you'll find some threads covering most of the possible issues. Yellow SL #
Ozzy
Phil. Just as matter of interest, why do you want to change 🤔 I know most people have got cycles, but I think flares look great and stand out from the crowd. Just wondering. Oz. Phil
Wanted a little more on top end and I believe this is one way to get it plus I have grown to like the look. X/FLOW 1700 DD 1990 ROAD USE ONLY..SO FAR
Ozzy
Interesting! Is that a fact then? Mind you I achieved the same effect with a Jill Judd half-hood 😬 Oz.
