Harry Flatters
Are there any alternative wing mirrors that can be used with side screens or are we restricted to the 'orrible standard ones? Steve Mell PTM

sjwb
Adopt the Italian ethos. If it is behind you it's history, so why worry? There is of course a failing in the theory, in that it may be the Feds! I have the tiny carbon thingies on my windshield frames whih seem OK. But, having said that - and to pre-empt replies to the contrary, being a motorcyclist of many summers I am used to compromized rearward vision. You can adapt to anything. Ed Slaughter
I tried the small carbon ones. They were handsome but I couldn't see very well using them. I replaced them with mirrors from a German company that makes a tripod mounted system. The mirrors are the chromed bullet type, like the classic Talbots. At first I didn't care for their appearance, but functionally they are super. They installed easily without drilling any holes. Good visibility, little vibration, and extremely sturdy. And they don't interfere with the doors too much; I can get in and out even with the top up. See them at http://www.doppler-deimann.de/ in the Super Seven Section. "Dreibein–Chromaußenspiegel" They shipped promptly to the USA.
Harry Flatters
Rob, Do the DT offerings attach to the side screen cos ideally I just want to replace the Caterham ones and hopefully not drill any more holes.
