Jason Plato
Its such a contrast to the other venues we visit - its sooooo fast . I cant help but think abot the 1950's formula 1 cars that were driven around that course with so little grip and so much more power then we have *thumbup*Plus of course we get lots of runs and the selection of machinery in the British Championship is always good there . *thumbup* *thumbup* so good we should do it twice 🤔 Dave C7 TOP Powered by Hellier Performance 😬 South Wales AO
Mark Durrant
Dave I have already spoken with Phil Gough about next year and this is the only meeting where they can accommodate a club with an entry list as big as ours so unless another club drops out we can only have an annual fix. Area Representative Richard Price Posted September 4, 2005 Area Representative Share Posted September 4, 2005 Whilst its interesting for me to get up to 115mph, in the lower powered cars, I think the course is a little dull! Three corners and two long long straights are more a test of power (or power to weight ratio). I was almost as fast over the finish line having been stopped on the inside of Bechers bend after spinning 😳. I think one visit each season is enough. DSL
Talking of great venues, do we have any idea if Longcross 😬 😬 is running next year 🤔 If so are we going *thumbup*

RichardO
BTW, for all those who were camping and noticed the sirens all night..... it turns out this wasn't just to welcome us to Liverpool - there is a hospital with an A&E department about a mile away, and with it being Friday night it gets a bit busy apparently 😳 R
Jason Plato
The theory is good , but we were near the Albert dock last year and the sirens were still going all night 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬
RichardO
Dave; that could have been the ambulances picking up?! R
john g
Was there an artical in Motorsport News a few months ago regarding a stand being built for the horse racing circuit which would mean the closing of the motor racing circuit 🤔
Jason Plato
I recall the story was that the new stand would not allow the *complete* old F1 circuit to be re opened , the present infield circuit is Ok
RichardO
John - yes, I was talking to one of the marshalls about it. But the new stands are planned to be on the other side of melling road from the part of the track used by the LMC sprints and track days. It does mean that plans for a northern revival meeting are a bit stymied though.... R
