Dartmoor7 Posted September 2, 2005 Author Share Posted September 2, 2005 You should have told us you were coming Adam, our local area meet covers the whole of Devon and Cornwall and we have fewer than ten regular attendees due to a) distances involved b) lack of population concentration c) fewer people who can justify a car which is purely a toy I do 4500 miles a year in my 7, almost all of it on the moor, and yet in the last six and a half years of ownership I've been spotted ONCE. Also, of course, you were here Bank Holiday weekend and we locals avoid going up there at peak times, I was only up there this time giving demo rides to wife's relatives. I'll certainly let you know next time we're heading your way, and there definitely will be a next time as we enjoyed our visit very much. I don't blame you for steering clear of the moor on bank holidays - we left at 4.00 a.m. on Saturday for the same obvious reason. Unfortunately this meant we got there at about 9.00 and of course one can't have one's room until 2.00 p.m.; however, a pub in Princetown provided coffee, papers and cricket so all was well! Met them again today, stopped for a quick chat, Keith and Linda from Plymouth. Excellent number plate L7 OOM. May come to meet on Wednesday.
