There is a return road behind the signing-on hut to feed cars to and from the startline. Please read and inwardly digest the following procedure!

PROCEDURES FOR PADDOCK TO AND FROM START

1. Collecting area is on LEFT HAND SIDE of road leading towards the return road in corner of paddock from left of paddock office. The existing gates are only to be used in an emergency.

2. Paddock marshal will release you to go down new road to start area in a group of 10-12 cars. DO NOT PROCEED IF RED LIGHT ON.

3. At end of new road TURN RIGHT to line up for start as usual.

4. On completing your run and if not taking another straight away, proceed round back of start loop then if not held by a red light drive SLOWLY AND WITH CAUTION along return road DIRECTLY TO YOUR PADDOCK PARK POSITION. Your run time should be available at the paddock office, timing van or via the public address.

5. If sharing a drive or taking another run directly, continue round start loop and join back of queue for start as before.

6. DO NOT RETURN TO PADDOCK IF RED LIGHT ON - THIS MEANS THAT CARS ARE COMING FROM PADDOCK. Stop at beginning of return road and wait for clearance.

IMPORTANT NOTES

DO NOT STOP ON RETURN ROAD or in area of paddock office.

DO NOT SPEED OR TYRE WARM while on return road (severe penalty will ensue).

BE AWARE THAT THERE WILL BE CARS MOVING AROUND THE PADDOCK AT ALL TIMES.

Please help us to keep the event running smoothly by being aware of and ready for your sessions and listening for any announcements and by co-operating with the marshals. Due to noise restrictions the Public address system may only be used to call the first cars to the line for the morning practice runs. Please watch for your number sequence moving towards the collecting area and present yourself when appropriate.

The course can be walked by competitors who are not familiar with it until 8:45a.m.

Practice will start at 9.00a.m. prompt and will be run in class and number order.

Competitors will not be allowed to commence their practice runs until they have completed their signing-on and scrutineering.

Cars should move to the collecting area at the new return road then proceed to the starting area as above.

Please help by sorting yourselves into number order prior to approaching the starting line.

You will be moved forward individually to the start line.

The starting procedure is as follows:-

1) Approach the start line where a red light will show.

2) The car will be positioned on the line by the start Marshal.

3) When the red light turns green you may start in your own time.

ALL DRIVERS PLEASE NOTE

If a red flag is displayed, you should come to a standstill as soon as practicable and await further instructions from the marshals. On completion of your run do not stop immediately after the finish line as the next competitor cannot start his run until you are safely off the course. You must proceed back to the bottom loop (start line area).

SAFETY ON SITE

Should you have to refuel in the paddock you are particularly asked to carry out this procedure in an open space with no smoking or working going on in the vicinity. We also remind you regarding the general safety of mechanics and competitors when working on their vehicles in the paddock particularly when the vehicles are jacked up or on axle stands.

* Children are welcome but YOU must be responsible for their behaviour and safety. Please consider whether their attendance is appropriate.

* In the interests of safety animals MUST be kept inside support vehicles whilst cars are competing.

* An ambulance with trained personnel will be available on the day courtesy of D.R.R. Rescue and a Paramedic will be in attendance.

VEHICLE SAFETY

The current requirements (Blue Book E 12.17.4) is for no more than 108dB(A) at 2/3 maximum RPM at 0.5m at 45% with the exhaust outlet.

No engines are to be revved before 8:45 am

Please avoid running cars and the creation of any unnecessary noise during the lunch break if possible and when entering or leaving the circuit.

CATERING will be available on site during the event.
