Charles Griffin
Can anyone suggest ways of protecting the paintwork either side of the engine bay where the bonnet sits - Armourfend? gaffer tape? It's an area that can take a real hammering and I'd like to find a long-term solution. All recommendations gratefully received.
rgrigsby
Armourfend works well but it's very very expensive.... Rob G www.SpeedySeven.com
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted August 22, 2005 Leadership Team Share Posted August 22, 2005 If it's the top rails that you are referring to, I use ordinary electrical insulating tape, although a good quality clear tape would do the same job. Small vibrations will damage the paint in time and the tape seams to work well Stu. Edited by - sforshaw on 22 Aug 2005 07:35:
Griff
Try here:- http://www.armourfend.com/cgi-bin/public/view.cgi?template=layouts/wireframes.tpll&wf_id=GI00002.jpg They do standard pre-cut panels for Caterhams. It's not pink, it's medium red violet... 😬
