BrianHorn
Morning all, A friend of mine wants to register a left hand drive VW Transporter van in UK but it only has a KP/H speedometer. I believe there is a sticker available which can be stuck over the speedo which shows the speed in MPH. Is this good enough for MOT or will he have to change the speedo to a mph/kph one?? Brian Common sense is in spite of, not the result of, education. --Victor Hugo Edited by - BrianHorn on 17 Aug 2005 09:47:
Support Team Shaun_E Posted August 17, 2005 Support Team Share Posted August 17, 2005 Not required for MOT. If the van was bought in the EEC then I'm pretty sure it won't need SVA. Yellow SL #
Bricol
My Integrale passed it's first MOT with a kph speedo - but for peace of mind past speed cameras, the sticker got fitted pretty quick. In my case it was obtained from Fiat GB and simply stuck over the existing speedo face. Unless you know where to look - you can't tell. Odometer still counts in km tho. You will need RHD lights tho - or a kind MOT man. And indeed - bought in the EC having already been registered in the EC - no SVA. Bri
