How easy is it and is there anyone in the south west who could do it without shafting the rest of the car? Just an idle thought whilst I wait for work to start! The threaded hole in the ali rear panel can be used for the plate number lamp. There is probably a need for an intermediary bracket ? New Barbie Posted November 23, 2001 Share Posted November 23, 2001 If you carry a spare, it must be a legal tyre but it is not compulsory. Superlights+ have no spare, in the kit you have the trusty can of gloop instead. As directional tyres and different sizes make a spare dodgy anyway, I'd lose the spare. Is industrial velcro different from what is offered by DIY shops ? Also, is the body side-velcro glued ? Which type of glue please on a painted body? MartinB Posted November 27, 2001 Share Posted November 27, 2001 I have just had my wheel carrier removed by James Whiting and it looks great, he used the mounting hole in the middle of the boot for the number plate light, there is about 1 inch of the carrier remaining on each side so I can re-fit is I want. I prefer to mount the plate low so am using an upward facing plate light from the bottom. Martin B... will you divulge the cost?
