Carl - a great price for the car I would say. If I wasn't looking to compete in class 3 of the sprints I would probably bite your arm off for it.

 

Re the M3 - The secondhand market has already taken a massive chunk out of them (I lost £10k in 12 months on one I bought used) but you're right that they will still slide. As a consdieration though (as someone who has had a 911 and an M3 and has children) don't forget that you can get the baby plus all their gear and buggy into the M3 and you won't in the Porsche.

 

This will restrict you a bit on having fun with family in it...just a thought

Thanks for the advice Steve.

 

My wife is getting a Freelander/Discovery so this will be the main use car at the weekend. I agree that the Porsche will be useless everything that comes with a baby but I think that I will try and improvise using one of the back seats for storage.

 

I think if I bought the M3 I will cry everytime I see a 993.

 

I have a couple of people viewing the car thisweekend so hopefully it will move.

Thanks for the replies. I sold the car at the weekend to a local guy who responded to my advert in the Autotrader. He really is getting a bargain.
