Griff
Anybody out there k now much about this? We "inherited" some assets of a defuct competitor including their database which is Foxpro based and we cannot access the underlying tables to extract the data for reimportation into one of our systems. Any ideas? It's not pink, it's medium red violet... 😬
Support Team Shaun_E Posted August 4, 2005 Support Team Share Posted August 4, 2005 Years ago Foxpro used a dBase IV file format so any tool that can read that format should work including MS Access or even Excel. A quick google and it seems things have moved on since then though. I'm sure you could find a freeware database reader that would do waht you want. Steve Kirk
Microsoft bought foxpro a few years back. Online help for Excel XP says this: "Microsoft Office provides drivers that you can use to retrieve data from the following data sources:Microsoft FoxPro". oilyhands
AFAIK it's as stated DBASEIV, there is a library called 'codebase' that will open and process FoxPro, including Memo files and all it's nuances, it comes in C,C++ and Delphi flavours.
