Which rear brake pads for uprated brakes?

My rear brake pads are wearing a bit thin on my 1.8 Roadsport with 4 pot front callipers.

They are the original Caterham 'blue' pads. Are these the best pads to use or are there better alternatives? Are they only available from Caterham?

Best balance I've found with 4 pots front and standard rears is Ferodo race front, Pagid rear.

Ferodo race pads FRP218R (AP caliper CP2340D43)

Pagid Standard Sierra rear caliper RS 14

Dave,

I have the same set up brake wise as you.

I'm still on whatever Caterham supplied in the AP's up front, but use Mintex M1144 in the rears.

Part no is MDB1287M144 and are about £55 from Demon Tweeks.

These have provided me with the best brake balance and performance for my application.

recently had to change rear pads (standard Caterham)

replaced with 1144

balance little changed

however the brakes now work when hot *smile*

A new set of Caterham standard rear pads disintegrated in the heat within 20 minutes on Le Sept

A10ROX:OK, its an R500 without the magnesium bits sump etc and only 205bhp!
