Vernier Pulleys

Read an article in CCC about tuning a K engine in an Exige. Talked about the K engine being sensitive to cam setting to the extent of +/- 10 hp. Anyone tried this out on a SS engine? Wondered if it could be useful thing to do this winter. I don't think you can remap the Rover MEMS so may be a waste of time. Just a thought.

Generally the ECU copes with this sort of change in VE, I've yet to see an engine that needed serious re-mapping/jetting after correction of the cam timing.

I'd say it's worth having a dial of the cam timing, it's unlikely to be spot on with the SS profile since the inlet and exhaust should ideally live on separate lobe centres, the standard pulleys are machined to give the same lobe centre, as are the cams.
