Fathead Posted July 17, 2005 Share Posted July 17, 2005 Trying to establish total cost of replacing my standard cc roll bar with a FIA approved one for a post 1990 dedion. I think it'll be a fairly easy swap but do I need to change my boot cover or will the old one still fit? how much do they cost? also will there be a problem with the fitting of my 4 point harnesses? Alan Bowler Posted July 18, 2005 Share Posted July 18, 2005 If you get a new FIA roll bar from Caterham (the "Caged" one with two diagonals) the existing boot cover will fit OK. If you get a used one with a single diagonal, you'll need a new boot cover too. I don't think there is any problem with the harness (but then I chickened out and got a grown-up to fit mine). Support Team Shaun_E Posted July 18, 2005 Support Team Share Posted July 18, 2005 You might need a longer bolt for the harness as one of the mountings goes through the plate in the bottom corner of the FIA bar - check with Caterham on that.
