bikkel
hello Just one question: i need to do (dutch ) SVA this week ; but there might be a minor gas leak in the exhaust system: so the lambda-reading will be way off. Can i fix this with silicone gasket? ( the box says up to "320 degrees celsius") bye koen de jong ( Holland) http://www.homepages.hetnet.nl/~keuntje/ 2 L zetec HKT 7 www.hkt-7.de

You can get some sealer for exhausts, if not the hardware stores sell something for log burning stoves which will do The car in front is a Westfie1d wink.gif

EFA
Apparently mixing horse manure and ambrosia together into a smooth paste works well also. Simos
Ambrosia indeed, for was it not Lotosven who first brought "handling" to the Gods on mount Olympus ? Or was that Lotosven who first broke the magic 7 minute barrier across Bifoss in the Valhalla 24 hr.
Fast Westie
Steve I'm glad that made you smile. When you don't live in the UK you sometimes have to be a little imaginative about the parts you use on your car. In this instance my obvious choice would be Gun Gum, but you will notice that the gentleman in question is in Holland and cannot just pop down to the local Halfords and pick up a tub! I was therefore offering him some alternatives as his problem seems to be urgent. Arnie Never heard of the mixture you propose though, but I have noticed that cow manure dries very hard on the exhaust and is a real pain to get off blush.gif. Alternatively, manure and mud can be used to build houses with (daub) The car in front is a Westfie1d wink.gif
Roger King
Just as an aside, does anyone know the difference between a race engine and a rally engine.................... Well forget all that stuff about camshafts and torque curves........... The answer is........ The race engine isn't covered in cow **** when it comes back for rebuild. THIS IS TRUE!!!!!
