Graeme Smith Posted June 26, 2005 Share Posted June 26, 2005 I've got a radiator in the garage which I took off the car as it ran a bit hot in slipstreaming races on hot days - changing the rad dropped the temp by 5 degrees or so. After a startline shunt at Croft today, I need a new rad... Can anything be done to my old one? There's a fair few flies in it and many of the fins are a little bent (from stone damage I guess) - clean the flies out and straighen the fins (that's going to be a fun job). Anything likely to be wrong inside? - can the rad be flushed out? What can actually be wrong with a rad (it doesn't leak)??? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Englishmaninwales Posted June 26, 2005 Share Posted June 26, 2005 You can get it refurbished, complete with a new core and pressure tested, but is expensive and may be better to put the money towards a new radiator.
