EFA
Does anyone have a VX dry sump pan (of Caterham type only please) I could relieve them of?? Seems we ran over something rather solid on the way home fron the L2B Count...... Harry Flatters
Arnie, Was is a cats-eye? The iron castings that hold the rubbery bit are bloody hard. I was overtaking in a bit of a compression one time, and bang - seven inch split in very expensive sump pan. Good hunting. P.S. If the old one is not completely knackered, ie just a split, I know a man who does a reasonably good ali weld. Rob Morris
Arnie, If all else fails suggest you carriage it up to me (Telord)and I'll get it welded up and dressed back on the inside so that it doesn't show. EFA
Rob, I'm going to get James Gates to fix the exisiting one (James in in Caterham and does lots of bits & pieces for Redline) I'm also looking to start stockpiling this rather venerable part as I seem to keep braking them and I'm not sure when supplies will dry up. Rob Morris
Arnie, No problem, let me know if you find any others that need repair as I will get them crack tested and weld by fully certified welders. This may be a cheaper way to amass stock!
