Andy,

If its the Stack ST200 then the connections, as per Stacks written instructions, are as follows

Red wire to a switched 12 volt supply , ie kill switch

Black wire to Battery Negative or same earth as the ignition system

Blue wire to one side of the switch, th other side of the switch to a convenient earth point.

Orange wire to the appropriate tacho signal pick up point.

The backlight on the Tach is permanently on

You will also have to set the numeber of cylinders the engine has as the unit works on 4, 6 or 8 cylinders, to set it do the following

1. Press and hold the switch and apply power.

2. Release the switch when the pointer has stopped resetting on the stop pin.

3. Press the switch immediately to select the number of cylinders - the pointer will move to show the number of cylinders selected e.g. press the switch 4 times for 4 cylinders ( the pointer will point to 4000rpm)

4. When the desired number of cylinders have been selected wait 3 seconds and the tacho will resume normal operation.

Hope this helps

Alan

PS What battery do you use?
