Using a 2 way switch for oil/water temperature, which wires go where.A wire from the sensor in the dry sump tank to switch. On the back of the water temp gauge there is a push on plug with 3 wires plus 2 wires black and red/white.The switch has 3 terminals 2 outer and one middle. The car is a 1992 vauxhall 2.0ltr.

Any help much appreciated Andy G

Andy, Is it a switch with the terminals on top, middle, and bottom ? then the middel terminal has to be connected to the gauge and the wire ( from the sender ) original connected to the gauge must be connected to one of the therminals of the switch. The wire from the oil temp. sender on the other terminal only make sure that the oil temp. sender is the same as the water temp. sender.

To be sure what wire you must unplug at the gauge, look at the color of the wire at the sender in the engine bay.

Hopes this helps.
