knowley
Looks like I've caught a cone or something on an airfield day, as I've just discovered my rear wings are loose I've managed to loose lots of nylon bolts from one side and a couple from the other... I guess if theses weren't fitted I'd have ripped a hole in the carbon making refitting rather hard. Now, where can I get a load more? 😬 7 only day @ Mallory - 06/08/05 Caterham R300 Owners Register My R300
knowley
Found some here - can anyone tell me which ones I need? Thanks 7 only day @ Mallory - 06/08/05 Caterham R300 Owners Register My R300
Grubbster
John - they are M5 X 20mm according to the assy guide, so this means you need HES019. Shame to buy 100 though, I would think someone else must have done this and have a few left over? Maybe Charles Elliott worth a try? knowley
Excellent, thanks Grubster - I was looking at the M4 x20mm 😳 The passenger side wing was only held on by 3 bolts, and is most likely the cause of that new vibration 😬 7 only day @ Mallory - 06/08/05 Caterham R300 Owners Register My R300 Edited by - knowley on 29 May 2005 21:33:
Trevor Newman
AHC on the A30 at Camberley has them a little longer than you need but about 25p each unless you buy bulk
Support Team Shaun_E Posted May 30, 2005 Support Team Share Posted May 30, 2005 M20 is actually a bit longer than necessary. Karsten supplies these as part of his rear wing fixing kit. Given the choice i would try and get M5 x 15mm but 20mm work fine. Yellow SL #
knowley
I had 20mm long ones in there before and where they have snapped I have unwind them out using pliers on the extra few mm sticking out the other side. So where 15mm would work I think I'll stick with longer ones. 7 only day @ Mallory - 06/08/05 Caterham R300 Owners Register My R300
knowley
Have had two emails asking for some of these bolts, have replied to both. I don't really want to split the pack of 100 any further. My first mini bulk buy Thanks 😬
conorkaby
Knowley Have a look at R/C model aircraft accessory suppliers in your Yellow pages. I buy stacks of the things for fitting undercarraiges and wings. They come in 3, 4, 5 and 6mm from 20 to 50mm lengths and cost about £2.00 for ten. knowley
Thanks conorkaby, I've already order them though. Works out to £3 per 10 for both the bolts and nuts that have an integrated washers. 7 only day @ Mallory - 06/08/05 Caterham R300 Owners Register My R300
