Bullman Posted November 3, 2001 Share Posted November 3, 2001 Does anyone know who could supply ali/steel top hat style bush.To fix through ali plate,covering unused starter hole on rs2000 bellhousing,to use as a clutch outer cable stop.Local garden centre out of stock,will it have to be made by engineer or can they be bought of the shelf. John Posted November 5, 2001 Share Posted November 5, 2001 Why do you need a bush? I just use the hole in the plate over the redundant starter hole. There is a narrow slot from the hole to the inner edge of the plate to facilitate cable removal etc. John Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Paul Turner Posted November 5, 2001 Share Posted November 5, 2001 I just used the Ford plastic bush that is used with the iron bell housing with a hole in the metal plate covering the redundant starter hole drilled to suit. It is indeed the one that is used on the iron b/housing Out of interest I weighed my old Cast iron one yesterday after taking the x/flow out and it come in at 10kg, whilst the RS2000 item is 2kg !!
