I use 16 psi cold on 185/60x13 front and 205/60x13 rear.

This still wears the centres more than the edges, and higher pressures made my car too skittish on our bumpy Devon roads.

>>I suppose it depends on how hard the car is driven

I've yet to meet anyone who drives harder than me on the road.

It's because of the extreme lightness of the car, if you put the same tyres at the same pressures on, say, a Focus, the edges would be gone in no time and the car wouldn't grip or handle at all.

Just said to refute the idea that tyre centre wear is a driving style problem.

Of course, there are only about 15-20 Sevens in our local area group(covering the whole of Devon and Cornwall),and we don't get to drive together very often, and I haven't experienced the challenging roads of Essex.

Want to come and play on the moor next time you're in Salcombe?

You may be able to manage our local meet then, I think it will be on the evening of Wednesday 1st June at the Warren House Inn near Postbridge.

Visitors from less-favoured regions always welcome.
