old captain slow
Quick questions. It's £1700 plus VAT from Caterham for a dry sump kit - other options? Can't be difficult to fit can it? Anyone near Lingfield got one I could have a look at? Upgraditus is biting and she really musn't find out or I will get shot! C7 CDW
rgrigsby
Pace do a kit that I think works out at a bit less than that + you don't have to take the engine out to install it. A quick call to them should get a few answers, you'll need a tank to go with the system, most people have been using a Brise tank that mounts in front of the engine. Allen Payne
Caterham system using a normal dry sump tank instead of the bell housing tank is a cheaper option, c.#1100. You may lose the passenger footwell extension though.
old captain slow
Pace looks good (after an inadvertent visit to a gay and lesbian councelling service). I'll give them a call on Monday. C7 CDW

k80rum
I mention this just for thought; If the upgraditus continues (there's no known cure) and you're ever wondering about inboard front suspension later on, the Brise front-of-engine tank option would need resiting. No resaon why you can't go the Pace route tho, it'll just mean some tank planning Good luck keeping her in the dark , she'd only want to spend it on shoes anyway. old captain slow
Hi Casbar, On a scale of 1 - 10 (1 being I would never try this ever again), how easy was the fitting? David C7 CDW
martinwhitcher
😬, don't ask him that......... It's not too bad, quite easy if you are used to spanners Martin MW 51 CAT Superlight No.171 now know as:Superlight DVA
Casbar
It wasn't difficult, I just had a few issues, which I had to resolve. I used Mick Smith's guide which was fantastic, here Edited by - Casbar on 15 May 2005 07:46:12 Edited by - Casbar on 15 May 2005 07:46:
