Avon Race Tyre Codes

Can someone point me to a place where I can get a list of Avon slick/wet tyre codes, e.g. 11529 (175/530/13 A40 slick).

I have looked all over the interweb, including Avon's & their reseller's sites, and found nothing.

The reason I'm after this info is that I need 2 175/530/13 wets in whatever compound 7512 relates to? 7512 is what's moulded onto the 180/550/13 wets that I need to replace.

Does this number just relate to the compound or the compound/size combination?

Have you looked on the BMTR website. If what you need isnt there then a phone call to them will get you the info.

Ta Kevin . . .yup, checked BMTR. I'm after used ones though so I want a list of the codes as people often don't know the compound. As the compound isn't on the tyre, I thought an understanding of the codes, which are on the tyre, will be useful.

I don't know if they will be able to help you but try Newdigate Tyres 01306 631206. Simon seems to know a fair bit about what goes on as they supply tyres for numerous race cars in different disciplines.

The code relates to size, construction and compound, I think BMTR are the best source of information. Secondhand, particularly for wets, may be unadvised.
