Bricol
Apologies if I've missed this particular variation of the cooling question: New K-series - long runs at speed - heater nice and hot. Temp guage reads low - either 40 or once on the btm of the scale - thought it had broke the first time - slow down and temp guage rises again - any ideas? I've not gone back under the bonnet to check it out so. . . Bri
CHRIS CLARK
Difficult one to judge as gauge/sender combinations can vary substantially. Mine was about 78* when warm rising to 80* when really pushed on road. Rose to 90* when stopped, then fan cut in & therefore back down to 80* I used to blank rad. off slightly last winter with a 100 mm high ali sheet (2mm thick) bent so as to be fitted at the bottom on the two rad. fixing bobbins. Gridgway
try taking the wire off the temp sender and putting it back on. This made a difference when I had the opposite problem. new temp sender fixed the prob. Graham
