richardm57 Posted April 22, 2005 Share Posted April 22, 2005 am trying to wire up my alternator this is 3 wire type plug, have put jumper to the 2 original large wires on original loom and also fitted large yellow wire from plug to this,this is the horizontal pin on alternator plug. have fitted small wire from plug to original small wire on loom.1 of the vertical pins. [should be wire to ignition light but this does not give any ignition light but there is live feed on this wire]. there is also a live feed to ignition light without this wire fitted. have fitted middle size wire from plug to switched ignition supply.other vertical pin. and fitted very large wire from side of alternator to feed on starter solanoid. this is how i was told to wire up. any help would be welcome. thanks from richard.
