Irrelevant
One of the blokes I know via sprints has a day job of testing all the customer cars at Longcross. I guess they take them from Woking (IIRC) to Longcross very frequently so they'll be pretty common sights in this area. Almost there now.... striker4
The Mercedes McLaren SLR (SLR 2020) is basically a McLaren owned pre-production car, which is used for various purposes i.e. Update validation work, Customer After-Sales, etc. Both Longcross and Dunsfold are used and dependent on track availability. Very rarely will customer cars be driven on the road as they are normally transported to/from the tracks for shakedown test (post-production) by a fully enclosed car transporter. There are a number of privately owned SLRs in the UK/South East.
Toe Tags
ahhhh...... that would explain why SLR 2020 appeared to be either a trade or german plate (I didn't spend too long looking at the number plate!)
