DSL
Help guys after todays first sprint round at Longcross, I am feeling the need for more grip to try & get a little closer to you fast boys. If i can i shall be getting a set of ACB10 tyres this week & set up changes done to suit, but was wondering which compound to go for, I beleive its the 24 but have also heard mention of 40. Irrelevant
Yup - A24 . . .see here. A40 is mega soft and only used on slicks. Getting there.... Edited by - AdamHay on 17 Apr 2005 21:39:
david nelson
Good to meet you. I see you have got the bug. Well impressed with your result. A24 ACB10 are what you need and change the rear ears 0.25 IIRC also front to 0.5 to 0.75 as a started. I would think you will change your springs at the back before long. I have some 150lb if you would like to try or there quite cheap. David rear ears not 0.5 but 0.25 as Rob says Edited by - David Nelson on 18 Apr 2005 18:04:
robmar
DSL = Darren = Orange R400 I thought they where 0.25" ears that you needed/recommended Well impressed with your debut event, sounds and looks like you enjoyed yourself see you at llandow rob
DSL
Thanks guys, kind words indeed! I have now got my hands on a set of ACB10 24 compound & car is off to Caterham midlands tomorrow to have its new ears fitted & other set up adjustments made in preparation for the Llandow event. They look kin massive! the ACB rears are 245/45 r13 & fronts 195/50 r13 compared to the old CR500 s which measured a lot smaller at 175 front & rears at 205. I take it thats correct size wise?
