I was on a week's break - my wife and I rented a house in the town and had various friends and family stay with us over the week. Yesterday my wife and I were heading for Buckfastleigh for a day out on the South Devon Railway when we spotted you as we were coming out of Asburton. I was driving my maroon Mazda 626 - the only clue to Caterham ownership being me wearing a Lotus Seven Club baseball cap. It always brightens up a holiday when a Seven is spotted.

I live there.

I was suckered into heading for the moor by the sunshine; the weather gods waited until I was on the top and then chucked it down, the car's filthy again the day after washing it.

Some of the A and B roads around that part of the world are great. We drove down to Hope Cove a few days earlier and it was really nice drive. And at this time of the year there was relatively litle traffic clogging things up.
