See that last bit from Ray Stewart? I quote "Tony Weales book "Lotus Seven Restoration/Preparation/Maintenance" states that the value of the stay is questionable and it is sometimes omitted. I have only seen very old sevens with wing stays".

 

It's the 'old' look is what I want to create, not any extra support etc. They are absolutely fine without as mine have been for twelve years!!!!
