thinfourth
okay its a 2001 k series and has blue coolant but due to emergency measures involving a loose hose clamp and a bottle of volvic i think draining it would be prudent. so do i drain and go for blue coolant or do i get some pink Sod the heater wheres my shades
CharlesElliott
I would go for Comma Coldstream (4 year) coolant by choice as it's non-toxic and much easier to deal with. If you can't find it I'd go for Comma Xstream Red or Halfords long life coolant (both 5 years). Both are 5 year, both are suspected to be the same thing. Make sure you drain and flush the current coolant before filling with the new stuff.... susser
Dunno what it is about Organic Acid Technology coolant that makes it so good.( Comma XTream Red 5yr) I ran it in my Volvo here and it ate the head gaskets. here(Pic is a bit blurry but you can just see where it's been eaten.)I hope that the K series gasket is made of sterner stuff.
