daniel smith
I have a 92 Vauxhall race Minister series engine which may benefit from these. Are the pistons considerably lighter than stock items? Also how worn are they?
EFA
Hi, They are not ,much lighter, but they will obviusly be stronger, so there is more opportunity to increase the valve cut out size over std (+2mm would be very safe) My analysis of them is such that they are not showing signs of wear, thye do however not come with rings - you can use the std cheap GM ones here. Peter T
Only turbo engines used the Mahle pistons. Carbon Components from K9 Composites
EFA
No, Only the very early versions. Post 1989 versions are cheap cast type. Peter, thats not correct. These came out of a non-turbo engine. Edited by - EFA on 7 Apr 2005 16:52:

ned
ok, I've checked the prices I paid and I'm after (or near offers) £15 for headgasket - sold pending cleared funds £50 for ring set These are brand new sealed gm items. I'd rather not post the gasket as i'm worried it'd get damaged, but can do if the buyer needs it urgently. I will be at Stoneligh all weekend so can arrange pickup there if preferred. Apologies for any hijack.. and a BTTT for arnie Ned. Edited by - ned on 11 Apr 2005 13:35:
