Petrolhead
Once the items are sold it would be great if the seller closed the thread. This would save time and disapointment ie http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?id=68460&pn=2&ps=15&c= R5 no 65 😬  Edited by - petrolhead on 7 Apr 2005 22:16:

rj
MB: A set of half doors was recently (Good Friday) sold for only 55£. Why didn't you place a bid for these? /regin
Mike Bees
I did, but the vendor wasn't prepared to accept his own weight in wet fish as payment. What a fool! Mike

Sheds Moderator
His own weight in wet fish was a good deal. Let's see, the average man weighs 80kg, a decent bit of haddock is at least £4 a pound; comes in at about 300 quid's worth. Some people just don't know their way in business, that's the problem. R400C
You just said 'Some people just don't know their way in business, that's the problem.' 80Kg is about 176lbs .... Haddock at £4/lb should yield about £704!!! Selling yourself short by £404 is seldom the way to suceed in business!!! 😬 R400 C
Sheds Moderator
😬Quite right, a schoolboy pound/kg conversion error crept in there. I put it down to the Euro zone, we're all on kilometers and hectares here, no space for sensible measures like furlongs and Troy oz. 😬
