rgrigsby Posted April 4, 2005 Share Posted April 4, 2005 The time has come to update my tintop so the current one is for sale, the spec is.. 1997 R reg 406 3.0l GLX Saloon Metallic Green (Sherwood green I think) Manual Electric Windows all round Electric Mirrors Automatic Wipers ABS Remote Central locking/alarm Factory fit Keypad imobiliser Climate Control (regassed last year and the pipes were replaced at the same time) Radio/Cassette Cloth interior Removable towbar 12months MOT (as of April 10th) 6months tax (as of this month) The car had a dealer extended platinum warranty until Sept 04 so it has always been serviced at a main dealer, they were quite friendly with the warranty company so LOTS of bits have been replaced as they wore out, ie radiator, steering rack, ECU etc ie most of the bits that normally break. It has had new engine mounts all round in the last 18months plus other general bits and bobs to keep it going. And now the bad news, it's got 139K miles on the clock! and as it's a V6 you'll be lucky to see 30mpg which equates to around 400miles of a 70l tank. It's a very quick car though and superb for towing. Price wise it looks like I need to reduce it to around £1100ono I'll sort some pictures out at the weekend, if anyones interested either drop me an email or give me a call on 07903 324124. I looked at the parkers guide price and it said £1850+ for a similar age car but mine does have higher than average mileage. rgrigsby Posted April 11, 2005 Author Share Posted April 11, 2005 It is a little bit thirsty 😬 but it's a great Q car, it looks like a 1.8 LX 406 but goes (in a straight line at least) at almost impreza like speeds.
