TomB
Anyone interested in buying my slightly damaged fresh air heater from my 1996 Caterham? On of the bracket to bolt it to the scuttle has broken off and there is a crack in the plastic near the top. The crack could be fixed with some araldite. The heater was held in securely enough for my liking with the missing bracket. Ive got the various control wires & handle somewhere too. Price - I found an advert for good condition heater in the archives for £70. As mine is damaged, I'll say £40 & P&P. I will try and get some pics

Support Team Shaun_E Posted April 4, 2005 Support Team Share Posted April 4, 2005 Tip for the buyer of this heater: get some short pieces of angle aluminium and rivet to the side of the heater - replaces the broken brackets. How do I know? - the brackets broke off my heater and I've done exactly that. Works a treat. Yellow SL #
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted April 5, 2005 Leadership Team Share Posted April 5, 2005 Cracks in the casing of this type of heater are quite common - careful use of a soldering iron to "weld" the cracks is very effective Stu.
