Lali
I currently run on 185 60 13 Bridgestones but with the immenant arrival of my 2nd set of wheels from Rob i am looking for some more tyres. I have checked the Avon web site and it doesnt have 185 60 13 as a size for the ACB10 it does have 195 50 13, Is this true or am I just not looking in th right place? I have got a wet sumped VVC which sits very close to the floor on the bridgestones and I am guessing that the 195 50s will put me even closer to danger. any advice? Lali VVC-ya wouldnt wanna be ya!! Peter Carmichael
The VVC wet sump will be no lower than any other K wet sump. It is quite possible to run the 185/50-13(6x21-13) on the road with about 50mm unladen clearance under the sump. I have done this for four years and am only on my third wet sump. If you don't have adjustable platforms the ride height will probably be too low and unadjustable. Curiously, on their website the 185/50-13 is listed as being bigger diameter than the 195/50-13, showing how loose the specifications of tyres can be.
