Just fitted the Hellier Baffle

old captain slow

Recommended Posts

It took 30 mins to fit the baffle and put it all back together but 4 hours to get the sump off *mad*

One screw had been damaged by contact with the road and an Allen key snapped in the head off an overtight deeply recessed screw. Unbelievable!!!!!!

Anyway all back together so just going out for a test blat.

I may be gone some time 😬

I'm almost certainly going to stick with my Bridgestone RE720s - I didn't have any trouble keeping up with people through the corners last time.

I do have a set of CR500s - but they aren't road-legal, they're in Cheltenham (no chance of picking them up in time) and I'd have to fit my wheel-rack - which makes getting to and from Anglesey a bit of a bind.

Only question is - do I take the current-set (guessing 4ish mm left) or fit the 'new' set I bought from Mav...

Project Scope-Creep is underway...
