julians
Am I right in thinking that if I want to remove my oil catch tank , all I have to do is route the breathers to the inlet manifold before the throttle butterflys. Its as simple as that, just a pipe going form the breather to the inlet?? So that any oil vapour gets burnt by the engine.

julians
Cheers, so it is pretty much as simple as I thought. thanks
Bob Corb
Julians Beware that if your engine carries over oil mist with the crankcase gases these can cause detonation and engine damage (in severe cases). I know burning the crankcase gases is good for the environment but det is bad for your engine. A seperator of some some which returns oil to the sump (or a jar) is a good saftey precaution. Could you vent the catch tank into the inlet manifold or is the intention to tidy up the engine bay? BC
julians
The intention was to tidy up the engine bay, all these pipes running everywhere looked a right mess. I Guess I could site the catchtank elsewhere so that the pipes are not so visible, just need to think of somewhere.
