I might have to go to Radtec if they are open so that may dictate the route anyway. I'd do M1-M6 Toll, then trundle along the dual carriagewayon the top. Though there is not a lot in it to take the M1-M6 (not toll), M54 then A5. neil.cavanagh Posted March 17, 2005 Share Posted March 17, 2005 in that case Simon, its flip a coin time. The A5 route is slightly short, more scenic and has some great bends in it. BUT you might get stuck behind a pleb-shed (caravan) that you struggle to overtake in the tintop. The m-way/dual carraigeway route is dull but realiable.... simonbell Posted March 17, 2005 Author Share Posted March 17, 2005 I`ve done the A5 route a number of times on the way to Holyhead and as you say it`s a great drive but I have also got stuck behind caravans and as it`s easter weekend I`m sure they will be out in force. Just wanted to know if the alternative route was considerably quicker or if there isn`t much in it.
