Can someone confirm these tyre pressures

I've been told 18s all round then tweak from there to your taste (Caterham Midlands).

 

That's for the new-spce CR500s, but I think the old ones were the same pressure-wise...

Tyres work best at optimum temperature

 

All wheels do different work

 

Therefore, I was told and it seems to work, add one psi more for the back compared to the front and one more nearside to offside (clockwise tracks like Donington)

 

Try different pressures and experience the difference

 

It's not primrose it's Dakkar Yellow

I suppose "tyre will work best at optimum temperature" , otherwise wouldn`t be optimum.

 

Your point on differential tye pressures cold is interesting. I suppose you could prove your theory by testing the pressures hot, after a race and see that they were the same across an axle.

 

Your interesting post was coy about actual numbers however!

I run 18 front / 20 rears for the road

 

Found at brands Indy car was best (cold) n/s front 16, o/s front 17, n/s rear 18, o/s rear 19. when measured hot front were even @ 21 and rears were even @ 23

 

R400 .......... I love it

I was running 18psi cold all round but the middle of the backs have worn out well before the edges. Just checked the fronts 12.5 psi *eek* so maybe the earlier poster knows somit -

l have cr500 on 15" psi down to 14" front 15" rear
*confused*

 

I am going to run the backs at 16, same as the fronts

 

R5 no 65 😬 *cool*

I am after a pair of half doors
