Casbar Posted October 8, 2001 Share Posted October 8, 2001 I need to fit a rev limiter to my re-built engine. The favorite choice seems to be the RL3 from Micro Dynamics. When I rang them to ask about setting them up, they informed me that the DRL3 now replaces the RL3. Does anyone know if the Digital RL3, will work with a Lucas Comp Constant Energy system. Robin Oldfield Posted October 8, 2001 Share Posted October 8, 2001 I once fitted a Micro-dynamics rev limiter to my xflow in conjuction with a Luminition ignition. It fused the whole system, requiring a replacement of both rev limiter and ignition system. I recommend buying a better quality system. SteveP Posted October 9, 2001 Share Posted October 9, 2001 Not sure about the DLR3 but I have an RL3 and Lucas Constant Energy Ignition and the rev limiter doesn't work properly.
