Tony Martyr
I have learnt to live with oil coming out of my 6 speed gearbox speed drive. After one new spindle and two seals I have given up. However I have noticed that the bronze collar that is held in place with a circlip and which holds the angle drive is showing witness marks of lots of movement and wear. I have a cable drive speedo. On a new K series I was helping to build I noticed that it had an electric sender and NO heavy cable drive. The car certainly had a different speedo dial. What is the story behind this change in design? It might help me to stop my drive spindle being waddled about and leaking - as in peeing - out oil.
